The weather in 2022’s growing season was exceptional for the varietals in our estate vineyard, we pulled out all the stops in the field. Our 2022 Merlot is a blend of West meets East Merlot: 76.2% was pulled from our estate Single Acre Merlot with 22.5% Surrey Lane Merlot and a splash of Onabay Cabernet Franc (1.3%). Medium to full body with round, firm tannins, bright and juicy acidity and a long dry finish highlighted by blueberry, cherry, vanilla, star anise and finishing with a hint of cedar. This is a young wine that is drinking beautifully now but will surely age for years to come. Harvested October 2022.
